Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST™)

What is Fascia?

Fascia is a thin, flexible layer of connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, bones, joints, and organs—like a strong, stretchy web that holds everything in place and helps your body move smoothly. Each joint also has its own “joint capsule,” another layer of fascia that keeps the joint stable and moving properly.

When fascia or joint capsules become tight or restricted—often from injury, poor posture, stress, or repetitive movement—it can create a chain reaction in your body, leading to:

  • Stiff joints and reduced mobility
  • Tight muscles, knots, and trigger points
  • More frequent strains or tendon irritation
  • Headaches and ongoing muscle tension
  • Lower energy, slower recovery, and reduced performance

The tricky part is that fascial restrictions don’t show up on MRIs, CT scans, or X-rays—so you may feel pain, stiffness, or fatigue without a clear explanation.

The good news? With the right care, fascial restrictions can be released, restoring smooth movement, reducing discomfort, and helping you feel and perform at your best.

Who Can Benefit from FST™?

The short answer—everyone. Flexibility naturally decreases as we age, and athletes of all levels often notice tightness, aches, or slower recovery long before middle age. Over time, this stiffness can lead to fatigue, imbalances, and a higher risk of injury.

FST™ is different from traditional stretching, which usually targets one muscle at a time. Instead, it gently decompresses your joints and lengthens your entire connective tissue system. The result? Better mobility, faster recovery, fewer day-to-day aches, and improved performance in the activities you love.

Whether you’re a student athlete wanting to avoid injury, an active adult aiming to stay mobile, or a golfer looking to swing without pain, FST™ is a safe, relaxing, and pain-free way to keep your body moving at its best. Many clients even “zone out” during sessions and leave feeling like they have a brand-new body.
